For dose measurements, surveys of incoming/outgoing packages

  • Beta-gamma surveying
  • Meter scale reads in mR/hr
  • Range: 0 – 200 mR/hr
  • 30 mV Threshold
  • Four multipliers: x0.1, x1, x10, x100
  • Meter with probe weighs only 4.5 pounds

This meter/probe combination provides good sensitivity and energy response characteristics for measuring exposure rates (meter scale reads in mR/hr). For energy levels below Cs-137, the Energy Compensated Thin Wall Probe is more accurate than pancake-type detectors (which tend to overrespond at low levels). The durable and easy to handle Model 3 Survey Meter has four multipliers, voltage adjustment from 200 to1500 volts, and typically delivers 2,000+ hours of service on one pair of D-cell batteries.
